Fruit

Our family LOVES fresh fruit. We are proud to grow strawberries, blackberries, peaches, and plums. We also source watermelon, cantaloupe, apples, and pears from local farmers that your family can enjoy, too.

Based here on our Robertson County farm, growing fresh produce means the world to us, and we are so proud to share it with your family.

Vegetables

Matthew’s first taste of farming was growing corn and selling it out of his truck as a teenager.

Needless to say, we still grow corn, along with yellow squash, zucchini, cucumbers, Lee’s candy onions (named after our son and his LOVE for onions), Yukon Gold potatoes, Kennebec potatoes, sweet potatoes, Red River Red tomatoes, Pink Girl tomatoes, Cherokee Purple Heirloom tomatoes, green beans, turnip greens, cabbage, peppers, and lots of other veggies!

Stay tuned to our social media to see what’s in season and how in stock we are in the latest items!

Matthew and Jodi Hancock live on Hancock Family Farm with their four children. They grow many crops – including strawberries, blackberries, peaches, tomatoes, sweet corn, Lee’s candy onions, potatoes, row crops, and livestock – to name a few. In 2022, Matthew and Jodi started growing flowers. They grow hanging pots of petunias, verbena, calibrachoa (Million Bells), geraniums, and other mixed pots. These annuals are started in the greenhouse in mid February and ready for sale at our store by mid April. In the Fall, enjoy mums and other ornamental Fall flowers as well as pumpkins and a U Pick sunflower patch. Farming has been a lifelong passion of Matthew’s, as he was born and raised on the land that he now farms and raises his children. The farm is located in Springfield, Tennessee has been in the family for over 100 years! Matthew and Jodi love how farming connects them with the community and they are able to provide the freshest fruits and vegetables for their friends and family. In 2019, Matthew and Jodi opened a farm market located just 1.5 miles from the farm at 7114 Highway 49 East in Springfield, TN. You can find their produce at the market year round Monday through Saturday from 9-6 and at the Nashville Farmers’ Market May through December.

“Our Family Feeding Your Family”

“I’ve seen many family members leave the farm, but I wouldn’t trade places with anyone. The farm has been in our family for 108 years. We actually live in my great-grandparents house where my grandfather was born.”
