Sister Hens
In April of 2018, our 11-year-old daughter, Grace started out with 25 day-old chicks through her local 4H program. In August she won 2nd place in the showing of her hens.
By late September, the hens started laying and that started her business with her younger sister, Reece! With the profits the girls had made, they bought 30 layer hens and that really got Sister Hens going.
They go out every morning around 6:15 and every afternoon around 4:00 to care for the hens and fully fund their own business. Currently, they have 60 hens!Before we opened our market, the girls would sell them to loyal customers and at farmers markets. We are so proud of the hard work the girls have put into Sister Hens and are thankful that you enjoy the farm fresh eggs as much as we do!
Sister Hens eggs are available at our market and Nashville Farmers Market during growing season. In the off-season, you can still pick up eggs by calling or texting Jodi at 615-948-6009.
